This round of updates brings us Page Enhancements - Avatar and URL Changes, and other minor alterations. These updates have been a work in progress over the last two weeks, and due to the size of these updates we did not release our weekly update blog last week. As for the progress of these updates, they are near completion, and should take effect shortly!

The next planned Page Enhancement will be the Knowledge page, which currently offers limited information, and severely needs an update to be aligned with the rest of the RuneSync website.

URL Changes:

This next update will be quite a change for RuneSync, and its users; positively of course. The update which will be put in place in the coming months is the URL Changes. This change will erase all the clutter certain pages cause, and make our index a cleaner, and more a search efficient one.

Here's a small example of what will be changing - 

See this link here, it's quite cluttered with extra numbers, letters, dashes and so on: "http://www.runesync.com/category/section/clan_name/21203"

Our plan is to customize these links, and to make them more user-friendly with users. All site links will be converted to this new way in the coming months. 

As for the Avatar changes, we will be adding RuneScape items, Forum Player-NPC chat-heads, and others that involve RuneScape. We will be deleting all the current non-RuneScape related images we currently have stored in our database. (The ones which users can currently pick from, not user uploaded) - And will be phasing in the new RuneScape content ones.

This week brings a few new additions to the site. First, we'd like to announce that we have altered the way the contact page works. You no longer must have an account to contact us through the site. This addition was made to make it less of a hassle to contact the site administration, and to free up server space from archiving general contact inquires. 

Along with this alteration, we have added a new method of contact one which many users will find less formal, and more useful. We have added an official Skype account, you may contact us if you need help with a RuneScape problem, or any general aspect of RuneSync.com, you may contact us 24/7 and we will do our best to solve your problem(s).

Simply download "Skype" from the official website, and create an account. Then add us as a contact, "RuneSync_Assist" and you're set.

Other than contact additions, we have also added a new search feature to the site's database. With this search upgrade, we have now made it possible for users to simply type, or paste in the Quick Find Code (QFC) of a clan into the search bar, and the clan that owns that QFC will be shown in the search results. This feature will be most useful for users looking for a certain clan, or to see if a clan name has already been created and added to the database. 

Other than searching for QFC's you can still search keywords for certain clans you may be looking for such as, "PVM - PVP - Skilling - Questing"... and so on, just as before.

This week brings an awesome addition to our site, on behalf of our friends over at RuneZone, the RuneRadio! The RuneRadio will be running 24/7 from now on, and will have live DJ's from time to time. It will host many competitions in-game, and contests for everyone to enjoy daily.

With this great addition, we created a customized Chat-Box which is synced with RuneSync's database, so all users with an Official RuneSync account can use the Chat-Box. We will be adding the feature which states the Song Title and Author shortly, along with a few other small add-ons.
